Porcelain Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and Onlays are the ideal option for restoring broken, chipped or decayed teeth, as well as for all amalgam replacements.

Porcelain Inlays and Onlays are porcelain fillings which are alternatives to crowns. With the removal of far less tooth structure in design, Inlays and Onlays are more conservative restorations, maintaining existing healthy tooth structure. When a tooth is cracked, or an old amalgam filling is leaking or failing, an Inlay or Onlay is an ideal way to restore the tooth. By removing the unhealthy part of the tooth which has decayed, old mercury fillings, or cracks, Dr. Viechnicki then designs your restoration for the ceramist to craft. The ceramist then creates a beautiful porcelain filling to fit inside your existing tooth. Once your Inlay or Onlay is bonded in place, your tooth will be stronger than it was before.
